Philanthropy is extremely important to Showpo. As a company who uplifts, we also support. Our philanthropy actions to date have been based on where we can make the most impact. The partnerships we have created with our chosen organisations have allowed us to support and give back to communities and individuals who are in need. As a company, we view philanthropy as a responsibility, one that we continuously strive to achieve. The purpose of this section is to outline our efforts so far and what we have planned within this space.
As a customer-focused company, we hope to make fashion accessible, and also hope to help improve the world our customer lives in by serving and investing in the communities we’re a part of.
We believe in forming meaningful long term partnerships with our chosen charity partners, this way we ensure that we can focus our efforts to generate the largest impact. To date, we’ve donated over $138,000 to our charity partners.
Showpo has partnered with The Hunger Project who are on a mission “to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.”
We’ve worked with the Hunger project for some time now. Prior to Covid-19 restrictions, Showpo held two sample sales a year open to the public where profits were donated to The Hunger Project.
To date we've donated over $96, 000 to The Hunger Project through our sample sales.
We have recently partnered with a new charity partner we’re really proud of; Thread Together aim “To bring Dignity & Hope, by delivering new, good quality clothing and shoes to people in our community who are doing it tough”
Thread Together supports people who are homeless, youth at risk, Indigenous communities, survivors of domestic violence, refugees and the long term unemployed. Thread Together supports people in need of clothing to enable them to feel safe and warm, or people seeking clothing for a new job, they also work around the country supporting disaster relief, drought, fire and flood.
To date, we’ve donated over 20,000 items of clothing & $2,500 of donations to Thread Together. We’re excited to continue to support them with volunteering and further donation & fundraising efforts.
COVID-19 restriction pending, we will resume our bi-yearly sample sales where we accumulate our donation for The Hunger Project.
