Curve Summer Outfits

Q: What summer outfits best suit plus size?

Whatever makes you feel amazing, the heat is not the time to hold back. Breezy dresses and sundresses are the easiest win (one piece, done), high-waisted denim shorts and a cute top keep it casual, and a floaty maxi is your go-to for basically anything. Lean into light fabrics, fun colours and prints, and pieces you can actually move in. Summer plus-size dressing is about comfort and confidence, so wear the bright dress, book the beach day, live your life.

Q: How do you dress up a summer look for an event?

Depends on the event, but summer makes it easy. For a wedding as a guest, a maxi or midi in a pretty print with heels does the job (skip white, obviously). Date night? A slinky dress, or a going-out top with wide-leg pants and gold jewellery. A summer birthday or dinner calls for something with a bit of shine or a bold colour. The trick is one standout piece, then let it lead, no overthinking required.

Q: Which fabrics keep you cool?

Natural, breathable ones are your friends in the heat. Linen is the MVP, airy, relaxed and honestly better a bit crumpled; cotton is easy and everyday; and light rayon or viscose drape nicely without clinging. Look for loose, flowy shapes and lighter colours, which reflect the sun rather than soaking it up. Save the heavy fabrics for winter. Cool, comfy and cute is absolutely doable, even in a heatwave.

Q: Does Showpo do curve and plus sizes?

Absolutely, curve is a whole thing here, not an afterthought. Our curve edit runs sizes 4 to 20, with new plus-size styles dropping constantly, across dresses, denim and everything in between, the same trend-led pieces as the main range, made to actually fit. The Size Guide takes the guesswork out, Shipping does same-day dispatch across Australia, and Returns are easy if the fit’s not right. Style has no size, and neither does our summer edit.
