Corset Tops

Q: What are corset tops?

Corset tops are structured tops made with a fitted, often boned bodice that shapes your waist and supports your bust, borrowed from old-school corsetry but made to wear on the outside. They usually do up with a lace-up, hook-and-eye or zip, and that structure is the whole point, it cinches, lifts and holds its shape all day (or night). You'll find them strapless, halter, long sleeve and lace-up, in everything from denim to silk.

Q: How do you wear a corset top with jeans?

Honestly, it's the combo we reach for most, and it couldn't be easier. Pop a corset top with high-waisted jeans so the waistband meets the bottom of the bodice, that keeps the whole line nice and clean, and straight or wide-leg jeans balance out the fitted top beautifully. Add sandals and a slouchy jacket for day, or swap in heels and a bit of gold jewellery for night. And a denim corset with denim? A double-denim moment we fully endorse.

Q: How do you style a corset top for going out?

Let the corset be the star and keep everything else nice and easy. A satin or lace corset with a slip skirt or a leather mini and heels is a whole going-out look on its own, no notes. Layering's the fun bit right now: try a corset over a shirt, or under an open blazer with just the structure peeking through. Keep your accessories simple so the bodice leads, and if it's strapless, a little fashion tape or a stick-on will keep everything comfy and secure while you dance.
