WHAT IS THE FUTURE FEMALE FOUNDERS PROGRAM?

The Future Female Founders Program is designed to empower university/college students with a passion for entrepreneurship and eCommerce. Through this program, you’ll get the opportunity to win $5,000 to put toward your business idea, along with an immersive internship opportunity at Showpo HQ in Sydney, Australia. This is your chance to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, innovative company while receiving mentorship from Senior Ecommerce Leaders, and Founder and Share Tank judge, Jane Lu, to help bring your entrepreneurial vision to life.

THE SHOWPO STORY

At Showpo, we believe in turning dreams into reality, and our founder, Jane Lu, is the perfect example. From studying accounting at university to launching Showpo in her spare bedroom, Jane turned a passion for fashion into a multi-million-dollar eCommerce business. Her journey is one of hard work, resilience, and bold decisions—qualities we want to nurture in the next generation of entrepreneurs.

As part of the Future Female Founders Program, you’ll receive mentorship directly from Jane, learning from her experiences and gaining invaluable insights into what it takes to succeed in the eCommerce world.

When will the scholarship program run?

The program will run for one week and take place between 23rd June and 20th July.

What is included in the scholarship program?

The scholarship includes a $5,000 AUD grant for your business idea, an immersive internship at Showpo HQ in Sydney..

What are the key eligibility criteria for the scholarships?

  • Must be an Australian citizen currently enrolled in an accredited Australian university or Fashion College.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
  • Must demonstrate a genuine interest in eCommerce, fashion, or entrepreneurship.
  • Must be available to participate in the one-week immersive internship at Showpo HQ in Sydney between (23rd June and 20th July). Willing to travel to Sydney, if not already here.

How long are applications open?

Applications will close on Sunday 11th May. The winner will be announced on Sunday 25th May. Be sure to submit your application before the deadline!

What information is needed during the application process?

We would need your contact details (name, date of birth, address) as well as a detailed business idea proposal aligned with the program's focus. You must include an up-to-date resume and Cover Letter detailing;

  • What excites you about the Future Female Founders Program?
  • What is one challenge or problem you are passionate about solving?
  • What makes your idea or approach unique?
  • Have you taken any steps to develop your idea or business? (E.g., research, prototype, early customers, etc.)
  • What do you hope to gain from the Future Female Founders Program?

What is the selection criteria?

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Business idea proposal: Originality, potential for growth, and alignment with Showpo’s values.
  • Resume: Relevant skills, experience, and passion for entrepreneurship.
  • Creativity and initiative: Evidence of your ability to bring an idea to life and work independently.

When will I hear if my application is successful?

Applicants will be notified by Monday the 26th of May regarding the outcome of their application.
