Race dresses

Q: Can I wear a mini dress to the races?

Often, yes, though it depends on the meet and the venue. Some enclosures and members’ areas set a length or formality rule, so check the event’s dress code first. At a more relaxed meet, a mini is completely at home.

Q: How formal should a race day dress be?

Let the invitation and venue lead. A formal marquee or members’ enclosure calls for something polished, so see our formal dresses ; for a cocktail dress code, our cocktail dresses hit the mark; and general admission gives you more freedom. When in doubt, dress one notch up.

Q: Does Showpo have race day dresses in plus sizes?

Of course, and they’re front and centre, not a side note. Our race day edit runs the full size range, so you can find a length and shape you feel brilliant in. The Size Guide helps you lock in the fit before the day, Returns make a swap painless if it’s not right, and there’s free shipping over $100 so you can sort the whole look in one go. Want a hand pulling it together? The blog has race-day styling ideas.
