Everyone wants to look like Kendall Jenner these days. Growing up in the limelight, I’m pretty sure she didn’t suffer the same ill-fated fashion mishaps the rest of us mere mortals went through (board shorts will never be cute).
So unlike the rest of us, who are still a wee bit awks at 23 – KJ’s style has developed into one of the most coveted in the industry.
Her Insta posts are regularly featured on the ‘most liked’ lists, she graces the covers of pretty much EVERY magazine and has strutted the catwalk of some of the biggest fashion houses in the world.
So you know, it’s pretty understandable if you want to steal the gal’s style (I know I sure do). Keep scrolling to see some of our fave KJ looks and how you can recreate her style with a few Showpo pieces…
Kendall is the queen of keeping it cool and comfortable. Luckily, most of us can follow her lead with this look using items already in our wardrobes. Throw on a classic pair of Mum jeans and a black crop for this combo. Style with a wide-brimmed straw hat, some round sunglasses, your favourite sneakers and a layered necklace to keep up with this Kardashian.
From unexpected rain to a stranger spilling vodka and Redbull down your new favourite top, festival dressing can be a nightmare. Before you buy those tickets to Coachella, take a leaf out of KJ’s book and keep your daywear minimal. Try layering a sheer maxi skirt with a cute white crop embellishing the look with a dainty body chain, a matching headband and a chunky belt.
For the ultimate night time look, Kendall pairs black boots with super ripped jeans, a mesh top and a sporty bralette (they’re easier to pull off than you think!). To take this look to the next level, pair it with a vibrant red lip, minimal eye makeup and a quick sweep of bronzer in the contours of your cheeks. To really up nail Kendall’s vibe, pull your hair into a messy top knot and accessorise with long, gold earrings.
Layering is KJ’s go to styling hack when it comes to taking day-to-night. To recreate this look pair a cropped white t-shirt, ripped, light-wash skinny jeans, tall black ankle boots with a black lacey bralette on top. For the truly bold, a pattern kimono draped over the top ties the look together.
Kendall nails festival style again in this look by layering different textures and going all out on accessories. Swap your typical festival footwear for a strappy pair of sandals.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that winter is the perfect time to throw on an oversized hoodie, a pair of ugg boots and call it a day in terms of styling. Kendall however, makes dressing for the cooler months look effortless and chic. Pairing some faux leather trousers with a chunky, oversized knit with impossibly clean white sneakers, KJ is our go-to style icons for every season.
For an ultra-chic all black look, channel this classic KJ look. Match a black off the shoulder number with jet black skinny jeans, a black belt and black boots to pull this look together. Your number one styling trick here is making sure all of your pieces are the same shade of black – steer clear of anything that is slightly faded or more charcoal than black.
Kendall’s signature jeans-and-a-tee look is back with a twist. Pairing her well-loved basics with a chic, tailored coat and an oversized black handbag, Kendall has cool and casual on lock. Throw on a pair of shades and let your hair down to complete this super easy look. While there might not be anyone to roll around your Louis Vuitton luggage next time you’re at the airport, at least you can look the part.
