Golden Globes 2018: Red Carpet Best Dressed

08 January 2018

I don’t care if it makes me a bad feminist, I bloody love a good perv on a celeb in a pretty frock. It’s so fun to get dressed up for fancy events but obviously, most of us mere mortals will never wear couture on a red carpet getting papped, so having a good ol’ perve is the next best thing amirite!?

The unofficial black-tie dress code definitely made watching the arrivals a different experience than the usual kaleidoscope of colours that waltz on down the carpet. But as part of the #TimesUp movement, driven by some of the industry’s most influential women (Michelle Williams, Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Watson etc), the lack of colour is one political statement to be proud of.

These are our favourite looks from the 2018 Golden Globes and I should note that the ‘all black’ ensembles actually look chic AF.

A skirt that reflects the power of her voice, Laura is a VISION!
Loving the simplicity of the OITNB star’s frock.
Such a simple, traditional gown looks timeless and beautiful on The Glow star.
I’m not sure how I feel about the mixed fabrics and leather bustier, but Jamie is pulling the look off with ease.
Zuri Hall’s sheer top and tiered black skirt is my fave look. So stylish!
Of course Klum looks this gorgeous in feathers.
My favourite fire-haired lass looks incred in this skirt, jumpsuit hybrid.
The cut of this dress is so flattering on Samara’s frame, and her H&MU is GORG!
Adore the turban, accessorised the best by far.
Jessica is effortless as always in her strapless number.
Our Stranger Things fave is MESMERIZING in her cute AF mini with a perfect winged eyeliner.
Our Aussie lass doing us proud in this sequinned number!
