12 Tips You Need For Better Productivity

For the lazy bish/serial procrastinator in us all...🙊🙋

Ahhh productivity. The trait most of us wish we had while we sit on the bus using a pea shooter to kill some zombies. Instead of you know, doing something productive like reading, checking emails or compiling a to-do list.

Don’t worry we’re not here to make you feel bad about spending too much time on your phone (those zombies aren’t going to kill themselves), but these tiny tweaks will transform your day, taking you from zero to hero with productivity real quick!

#1 Turn off your push notifications…

All the buzzing and pinging, continually nagging you for your attention could be to blame for why you can’t seem to get anything done. Disable them to minimise disruptions. You can check in on the Kylie pregnancy drama later.

#2 Make a ‘to do’ list every single day…

There’s nothing more satisfying than crossing things off even if it’s the mundane tasks like ‘eat breakfast’ – straight away you’ve already accomplished something, high-five sister!

#3 Then make a ‘to stop’ list…

Write all the time-wasting things you WON’T do today, like dwelling on the double scoop Messina you had last night. By culling all the BS, you make way for productivity.

#4 Create a #GOALS workspace…

Clutter is distracting! Organise your environment until it’s aesthetically pleasing, to feel completely in control and focused.

#5 Give yourself a break – quite literally…

That faint headache that comes after hours of doing the same thing is a warning sign to get up and move. For every hour of work, reward yourself with 10 minutes of ‘me’ time.

#6 Slice and dice…

It’s easy to fall into the trap of multi-tasking and hey, you’re probably the queen of it (being a woman and all), but a recent study suggests it could cause your IQ to drop by at least five. Back up and just get it done sequentially girl.

#7 Introduce the two-minute rule…

If you can do it in two minutes, then knock it off now before the small tasks pile up and you’re back in another Instragam hole for over an hour.

#8 Capitalise your commute time…

Put down your phone and read that great book everyone keeps raving about or listen to a good podcast.

#9 Choose your favourite motivational quote…

And put it up on the wall at work or home for constant inspiration to keep on hustlin’. It might sound basic but damn it works.

#10 Do it in the morning…

Ward off the 3pm slump by scheduling a workout early in the morning. Why? It’ll give you the energy to get through the day without crashing.

#11 Press play…

Compile a killer playlist. The background music while you’re working will get you in the zone to smash out those goals. A bit of Drizzy should do the trick.

#12 Be brave…

Ok, this one is a little deep, but stay with us. It’s human nature to put off the most challenging tasks because we’re scared of failing. Muster up the courage to tackle the hard things first, put in the work and reap the benefits. You got this!
