Pia Muehlenbeck is a force to be reckoned with.
Lawyer / blogger / model / Instagram sensation / YouTuber / designer / ambassador / entrepreneur / editor / fitness fanatic / mother to adorable puppy Muesli…PHEW, have I left something out? Probably.
I get exhausted just typing all the areas she has her well-groomed toes dipped in, let alone succeeding at one of them. But succeed she has and if you met her you’d understand why. Effervescent, kind, smart, stunning and with a wicked sense of humour; she’s a lass with serious work ethic and drive.
I recently sat down with her and her new ‘DO’ (check out how she styles it here), to chat about her all-time favourite beauty products and if you scroll to the bottom you can watch how she applies them ?
Warpaint is a 100% natural teeth whitener and the secret behind Pia’s bright smile. It’s black and it gets super messy (watch Pia show us how to use it here), but my god does it work.
The primary ingredient that also gives it such a dark and gritty texture is activated coconut shell charcoal, which whitens and polishes your teeth.
The product strengthens your gums, removes toxins from your mouth, and keeps you fresh! If Pia and her megawatt smile love it then we MUST try it! $55, buy it here.
Pia loves using the Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Wipes prior to prepping the skin for makeup application as it ensures all product has been removed from her skin, creating the perfect canvas. $6.95, available from Priceline.
For smooth and supple skin, the flaxen-haired beauty swears by the Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner and Facial Moisturiser.
They’re both natural, which Pia ADORES as she’s all about putting the right stuff on and in her body.
Quick Tip: The mist is perfect for hot days or to set your makeup. It keeps your skin super refreshed and hydrated. Both products are available from Priceline and can be purchased for $9.95.
For makeup to last a full day, we all know how important priming is.
Pia’s weapon of choice is the L’Oréal Paris Base Magique Primer. She loves the consistency as it fills her fine lines and pores, allowing for the foundation to apply flawlessly. $29.95 from Priceline.
Giorgio Armani does foundation like no one else (I’m pretty sure ‘Luminous Silk‘ must be the most blogger-bought foundation on the market), so it didn’t surprise me to see Pia pull ‘Designer Lift Foundation‘ from her kit. It’s a smoothing and firming liquid foundation that helps to improve skin tone and texture while minimising fine lines. Perfect for close-ups! $92.00 (no it ain’t cheap), from David Jones.
An exclusive contouring kit featuring four ultra-blendable, essential cream shades, the CoverFX highlight, illuminate, and contour kit is Pia’s fave. Pia uses it over her foundation to conceal her under-eye area before carving out her cheeks, you can tell she’s obsessed with this one as she’s hit pan! $70.00, available at Sephora.
I love that Pia uses the Nude by Nature Contour Palette to set her cream contour PLUS on her eyes! We all love a multi-tasker and the palette was created with three shades to contour, bronze, and highlight the face. Housed in the chic new packaging, this is such a beautiful warm trio on her olive complexion. $39.95 from Priceline.
No one who loves makeup could turn their nose up at the shades in the ZOEVA Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette. It’s an insane array of perfectly synchronized earthy tones and subtle sandy shades, brought to life with gold, bronze, and copper options. Pia loves using this palette to create both day and night eye makeup looks. $75.00, available at Sephora.
For an ultra-feminine effect, Pia cuts these ‘Luna Lashes‘ in half and applies to the outer lash line to open up her eyes. $6.95, available online.
No look is complete without a few sweeps of mascara and Pia’s favourite is the Maybelline New York Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara, thanks to the unique bristles that boost and thicken her lashes. $21.95 from Priceline.
