Prep Your Skin
Prep your skin with Summer Fridays Jetlag Mask – it’s super hydrating and is the first step to building an inimitable natural glow. Pop on some undereye masks and let your skin soak up the goodness.
Add a touch of Tarte Shape Tape to your eyelids and set it with your fave setting powder.
Build Your Colours
Use a watermelon-hued pink eyeshadow (Kel used one by Huda Beauty) in your crease to start building a foundation for those bright colours. Follow up with an eyeshadow in a similar hue that’s a touch brighter. We found it best to stick to warmer colours – like pinks, yellows, corals and oranges – but you could use any base colour you’d like. Just make sure it’s bright AF!
Add some depth to your look by picking a new colour to sweep across your lids, starting in the inner corner. We chose the shades Double Scoop and Slice from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Breaker Palette. P.S. Now’s the time to get rid of those undereye masks you popped on earlier.
For a final detail, add a flick of blue eyeliner to really make the colours pop.
All About That Base
Wipe away any residue leftover from the face mask you applied earlier and add a few drops of The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid. Remember your face stops at your boobs, so make you’re popping it on your decolletage and neck too. While you’re there, moisturise your visage with Marc Jacobs Youthquake.
Spritz yourself with a dash of the CoverFX Illuminating Setting Spray before going in with your foundation. Kel chose the It Cosmetics CC Cream for her base because it gives the perfect, luminous base every time.
Get That Definition
Moving onto brows, do them however you see fit. Whether you’re a thin and angled lover or you want uber-thick block brows, you do you boo. No matter how you do your brows, going in with Benefit Gimme Brow + will lock it all in place.
Once your brows are done, go in with a brightening concealer under your eyes, your chin and your forehead and any other areas you want to give a little TLC. Again, we love the Tarte Shape Tape. Now go in with a darker shade and contour under your cheekbones to add definition. Grab your beauty blender and blend, blend, blend. When you’re ready, go in with a coral or peachy hued blush on the apples of your cheeks.
You Glow, Girl
Onto our favourite step, highlighter! We went a little bougie with this one opting for the Hourglass Ambient Light Edit. However, you do you boo and use your fave highlight.
Before you dash out the door, don’t forget your lippy. Now sorry ladies, but no mattes allowed. We want frosty glosses only to match this loud AFparty look.
