Our Story

Founded in Sydney in 2010, our CEO Jane Lu left her corporate job to take a chance on Showpo and change the retail game. A garage start-up turned global fashion destination, Jane now leads an empire of over 140 team members. Today, Showpo is taking the industry by storm, boasting over three million followers across all social media platforms and shipping to more than 120 countries. Needless to say, 11 years on, we’re bigger, better and killing it!

Introduced our second in-house label, Amalie The Label. This luxe collection composed of natural fibres embodies a chic and effortless summer aesthetic.

We took it to the next-level and rolled out some major global campaigns featuring your favourite cool-girls like Yovanna Ventura, Frida Aasen, Latecia Thomas, Gizele Oliviera, Scarlett Rose Leithold.

Launched our first ever in-house label, Sunday Society Club! We designed a range of on-trend and comfy loungewear basics that will level up your everyday style.

We became the official fashion partner of Love Island Australia, with your favourite Islanders showing off the hottest Showpo ‘fits in the Villa.

Relaunched our new website with a fresh look-and-feel for an elevated and seamless user experience. Happy browsing!

We launched our Bridal Collection! With brides-to-be in mind, we came out with a range of luxe bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses inspired by the latest trends for our customers to live out their dream wedding.

We made it to the Hall of Fame, baby! Being inducted by Australia Post’s Online Retail Industry Award is one of our proudest moments.

As part of our focus on leading-edge innovation, we launched our App with a slick and user-friendly design, and market-leading features such as Visual Search.

Thanks to you guys, we were awarded Online Retailer of the Year in Australia at the Online Retail Industry Awards. We also went on to win Exporter of the Year at the Premier’s NSW Export Awards. Woohoo!

The business grew and we (finally!) moved out of the garage and into our first real office in Sydney’s CBD!

With just a few shelves of clothes, a website and a humble Facebook page, Show Pony was born - it all started in our founder, Jane Lu’s, parents' garage.
November
We opened our first brick-and-mortar store in Broadway, Sydney. We subsequently opened 2 more stores in Bondi Junction and Pitt St, CBD.
