SHOWPO FUTURE FEMALE FOUNDERS PROGRAM - TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Introduction The Showpo Future Female Founders Program is an initiative to support and encourage female entrepreneurial university students in developing and presenting their innovative business ideas. In turn, the student will receive a prize that enables them to fund their business idea and in addition gain valuable experience internally with Showpo by way of a structured internship program. By entering the Competition, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to currently enrolled female university students from accredited universities.
  • Students may only put forward their submission as an individual entry (not as part of a team)
  • Each participant may submit only one entry.
  • Employees of Showpo, their immediate family members or affiliated individuals are not eligible to participate.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or over and be able to commit to a 1 week Sydney based internship

 

3. Entry Requirements

  • Participants must submit a written business proposal outlining their idea, including a business model, market analysis, financial projections, and implementation plan.
  • The proposal must be original and not infringe on any third-party rights.
  • All entries must be submitted via the designated application portal by the deadline specified on the information page showpo.com/future-female-founders-program
  • Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.

 

4. Judging Criteria Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation and creativity
  • Feasibility and scalability
  • Market potential
  • Financial viability
  • Presentation quality
  • The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.

 

5. Prizes

  • The winning individual will receive $5,000 towards their business idea.
  • The winner will also receive a one-week internship at Showpo, where they will gain hands-on experience with different teams within the company (this may be spread over several weeks based on team availability).
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative rewards.
  • Should you be awarded the prize from out of state, Showpo will reimburse you for flights from your awarded $5,000, though you will be expected to make your own accommodation arrangements
  • The $5,000 prize money will be payable in one lump sum into your nominated bank account on completion of your one week internship with Showpo.

 

6. Winner Obligations

  • Winners must use the $5,000 grant to develop their business idea.
  • Winners must participate in media and promotional activities related to the Competition as requested by Showpo.
  • The internship placement is subject to Showpo’s standard internship policies and guidelines and you will be required to review and sign our standard internship policies.

 

7. Intellectual Property

  • Participants retain ownership of their business ideas and intellectual property.
  • By entering the Competition, participants grant Showpo a limited, non-exclusive license to use their submission for promotional and educational purposes.

 

8. Disqualification Showpo reserves the right to disqualify any participant or team that:

  • Provides false or misleading information;
  • Submits plagiarised work or infringes on the intellectual property of others;
  • Engages in unethical or disruptive behaviour during the Competition or internship.

 

9. General Conditions

  • Showpo reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Showpo is not responsible for any technical issues, loss of data, or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect entry submission or participation.
  • Participation in the Competition does not create any employment relationship with Showpo.
